Fun For Breakfast.

If you've been reading the blog for a while chances are you've
caught on to the fact that little things make me extremely happy...
So of course when I spotted these heart & daisy shaped egg frying rings
from Williams & Sonoma,  I thought they were pretty darn awesome.

They'd make breakfast super fun, no?!
Plus they look like they'd certainly help you
make a nearly perfect sunny side up egg!

Exciting News!

Yup! Tis' true! The Husband & I are expecting our first child!

We are oh so exited to meet our lil' bundle of joy sometime around the end of February.
But since February is such a short month it could be March... who knows!?
Shall we start the Baby Fry arrival bets now?

Big thanks to artist Michael Jonathan for creating our announcement.
Check out his website & his etsy shop for more of his work.
Personally I really dig his piece "Fantastic Mr. Fox"

Eeeeeek!!!
As you can tell I am very excited!

Book Page Flowers.

I think this cake topper made out of book pages
which were shaped into roses is pretty darn swell...
Unfortunately I don't remember where I spotted it so I can't provide proper credit- oops!
That happens sometimes, I get "drag & drop to my desktop" crazy.

In any case, if you happen to know where it is from please do tell.

Stripe Love.

I'm really diggin' these striped blankets I spotted on
Design*Sponge from the Scottish store, Papa Stour...

I think it is the stripes of various sizes & the color combinations.
 Love. Love. Love.

Chocolate Covered Cherries.

Do you ever have those moments when you are think,
"Duh! What a simple thing?! Why didn't I think of it sooner?"
That is kinda how I am feeling about chocolate covered cherries.
Duh! I make chocolate covered everything else so why not cherries, right?
{ Photograph via DigginFood - psst, there is a recipe there too! }

Our fridge is full of some pretty darn good looking cherries as we speak
& I do love dark chocolate so I will definitely have to try my hand at making some.
Of course, I will have to watch out for the pits but I think that will be well worth it, don't you!?

Dog Days Are Over.

If you are like me you've probably caught snippets of this songvia various television commercials,
movie trailers or even at the grocery store. Every time I hear it I think how much I like it.

So today I finally figured out the title, "Dog Days Are Over"
by Florence & The Machine & listened to the whole song...
It is safe to say it is now my current favorite. I even bought it on iTunes...
What do you think?

I just love finding new artists,
or at least new artists to me!

Vintage Photographs.

Are these not the cutest vintage beach photographs?!
Oh my, I just love them!
This past weekend we went to a 60 year wedding anniversary party for The Mother-in-Laws, Aunt & Uncle.
In fact the photographs are of the couple when they were newly weds enjoying the beach... circa 60 years ago!

Ready for the best part? She made her bikini! Yup, that is right,  it is completely handmade!
She told me the story of how she crocheted the whole thing, tested it out in the shower at home
but still managed to have the top pop off when a big wave came up & splashed her...

 Oops!

I just love family photographs & stories, don't you?

Happy Weekend.

Happy weekend lovebugs!
What fabulous things do you have planned?

As for us, we'll be attending a family reunion/wedding anniversary party of sorts for
The Husband's side of the family.  I am kinda excited to meet some extended
family members from my mother-in-law's side that even my father-in-law never has!

We are also hoping to find out some really happy news from our close friends...
(fingers crossed & lots of prayers!)

Whatever you do this weekend, I hope you enjoy it!

Ha ha!

Bungalow Love.

Wow-wee! I don't know what I like better...
This kids room with the super sweet & cute tree with birdhouses adorning the walls?
Or this rocking studio that features everything an artist could ever want or need!?
Both are pretty darn splendid in my book.

Oh & did I mention they are both part of a 700 square foot house?!
Yep. Darn-tootin. To check out the rest of this bungalow belonging to Emily Henson
head on over here to Design*Sponge where I originally spotted it & just knew I had to share!

Awesome, no?!

Seriously, you can bet I am adding this to my "to do" list for entertaining
