Achieving Dreams.

If you've been hanging around this blog for a while you know how much I love my blog buddy, Ez over on Creature Comforts. Well, she has done it again with her printable action plan sheets...

I don't know about you, but I struggle often with the same sentiments as, Ez. Feeling like I have many, many ideas but often looking back over my day at the end of it & feeling as though I've achieved nothing. That is why I am LOVING these little motivational pieces Ez dreamed up. (there is even a wallet size!) So go ahead, go check out Creature Comforts & print your own action plan sheet

Lets get even closer to achieving our dreams together!

BTW - I am so thoroughly enjoying Ez's daily photos she's been taking for Souvenir Foto School. Head on over here to check out the loveliness. Trust me you won't be disappointed!

Photo Theme - Valentine.

If you happen to follow me on Instagram you know I take A LOT of photos with my iphone. The other day as I was scrolling back thru my camera roll I began to notice how little sections of my camera roll seem to take on themes.

Maybe it is just because most people associate February with Valentine's Day so there has been a lot of love in the air? Or maybe it is because we have a baby girl so we have a lot of pink & red around? Either way, I have definitely noticed that my photos over the past few weeks have taken on a Valentine type theme of sorts...

What do you think? Is there a theme going on or am I just crazy? Do your photos do the same?

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day! We keep things pretty low-key around here so tonight is homemade steak & lobster dinner... I do the marinating & prep, The Husband does the grilling. He is definitely a grill master! Enjoy your day!

Psssst - Want to check out some more Valentine cuteness? Head on over here to check out our Gracie Girl in a Valentine photo shoot courtesy of our fave photographer & friend - Isabel March! :)

My Snow Bunny.

Oh hey it snowed...

Just had to share the adorableness that is my daughter. In a snow suit. That has ears on the hood. Complete with chubby cheeks. Gah! Seriously she is almost a year old?! That is bananas.

Anywho - I'm gearing up to get back into this blogging thing, I swear. I have been pretty quiet as of late & well that is just silly considering my head & heart are just full of things to be shared.

I've found some inspiration (from some of my favorite ladies & bloggy friends) here, here, & here. Just call me a happy casualty of ALT Summit (& I didn't even go!)

More soon...

Felted Friends.

Gah! I just spotted the cutest felted friends!

Meet Gunnolf the felted reindeer & Helga the felted white tailed deer...

Aren't they adorable? I must admit if either of these two were hanging at my house I'd probably end up talking to them everyday. (Yep, I admit it, I am weird like that.)

To check out more of their felted friends head on over here to Two Sad Donkeys Etsy shop!

Pumpkin Carving Set.

Pretty much every year I waste $5 on one of those silly orange or green plastic pumpkin carving sets you find next to the candy at the grocery store & then loose it or break it.

This set may be a bit more pricey but I tend to think it will last a lot longer! Plus as described it would be really great for prepping squash & such.

Get it here.

Holding Hands.

I don't even know these people but I must say, I'm thinking I may frame this vintage photograph of them & keep it around as a daily reminder of love, holding hands & doing things together.

In case you missed the story (it was all over the news this morning) The couple, Gordon & Martha Yeager died, holding hands, an hour apart after 72 years of marriage... Wow!

I don't know about you but that's pretty much the way I'd like to go too - drifting off to sleep, while holding the hand of my beloved. The End.

Seven Months.

E-gads! Can you believe it has been just over seven months since our little Gracie Girl entered our lives? I literally feel like I blinked & BAM - here it is.

Time definitely moves a bit too fast for my taste these days but I gotta tell ya, it is SO awesome to watch her grow & reach milestones. (Like right now, she is slithering around the house &  just before that she was sitting up & "reading" her books all by herself) Le sigh- I love our baby!

Speaking of our baby... would you want to hear her birth story? Seven months later I am still debating putting it out there for public consumption. To me it doesn't seem all that "outside the box" as far as births go, but according to most women I tell, the common reaction is: "that is CRAZY!"

I tend to think that is just because it was a natural birth (which apparently is a rare thing these days). So maybe that in and of itself is a good reason to tell tell my story? Plus now that I think of it, if telling my story can encourage just one woman to go the au natural route (SO worth it if you can do it!) it is definitely worth telling...

So, don't be shy & please let me know your thoughts. I really value your opinion!
