Vintage Mom & Me.

I found it! I knew this photograph was around here somewhere...
I told you we go to Ott's a lot.

Despite the fact that I am kinda dressed like a boy that is me as a lil' bambino with my oh so stylish mom.
I mean, check it out- skinny jeans, pumps & a vest! Fashion styles really do come back around, no?

Mums with Mom.

A few weeks ago my Mom & I made an impromptu stop at a local nursery & greenhouse known as Ott's
Every year they do a spectacular Mountain of Mums to celebrate fall & we try to visit if we can.

Typically it happens just on a whim while we are driving by in the area
& go "oh, we should go to Ott's!" Thank goodness I almost always carry my camera with me.

Here are a few shots I snapped just before the sun set...
Oh & we didn't intend on wearing slightly matching outfits, I swear. It just happened that way... which is funny!
It was a great ending to our day. Now I'm off to find a vintage photo of me
& my mom at Ott's when I was about a year or so old...
I'd love to show it to you if I can find it!

Vintage Photographs.

Are these not the cutest vintage beach photographs?!
Oh my, I just love them!
This past weekend we went to a 60 year wedding anniversary party for The Mother-in-Laws, Aunt & Uncle.
In fact the photographs are of the couple when they were newly weds enjoying the beach... circa 60 years ago!

Ready for the best part? She made her bikini! Yup, that is right,  it is completely handmade!
She told me the story of how she crocheted the whole thing, tested it out in the shower at home
 but still managed to have the top pop off when a big wave came up & splashed her...

 Oops!

I just love family photographs & stories, don't you?

Winery Photographs.

On Father's Day I spent some time with my family having brunch
& visiting some local wineries while The Husband was at work... (poor guy!)
As you can probably tell, we had a really good day!
The weather was absolutely gorgeous & the wine was very tasty.

If you are a Pennsylvania local or maybe just visiting,
 I highly suggest you visit Vyncrest or Pinnacle Ridge
you will not be disappointed, I promise.
(They are my two faves!)

Saturday Shootin'.

This past Saturday we went shootin' with The Husband's family
& since I don't have a gun of my own yet, I brought the camera as my main thing to point & shoot...
{ The Sister-in-Law & I goofin' with our eye & ear pro. }
{ Shooting & loading the shotgun. }
{ Shooting the revolver. }

It was a good day & I had a lot of fun!
The Husband & The Father-in-Law are both very skilled with guns being as they are both
 military men so it was really interesting to learn from them & to watch them as well.
 I tried really hard to get a photograph of a clay bird being shot into pieces
 but my camera just isn't fast or fancy enough... maybe next time.
