Seven Months.

E-gads! Can you believe it has been just over seven months since our little Gracie Girl entered our lives? I literally feel like I blinked & BAM - here it is. 

Time definitely moves a bit too fast for my taste these days but I gotta tell ya, it is SO awesome to watch her grow & reach milestones. (Like right now, she is slithering around the house &  just before that she was sitting up & "reading" her books all by herself) Le sigh- I love our baby!

Speaking of our baby... would you want to hear her birth story? Seven months later I am still debating putting it out there for public consumption. To me it doesn't seem all that "outside the box" as far as births go, but according to most women I tell, the common reaction is: "that is CRAZY!"

I tend to think that is just because it was a natural birth (which apparently is a rare thing these days). So maybe that in and of itself is a good reason to tell tell my story? Plus now that I think of it, if telling my story can encourage just one woman to go the au natural route (SO worth it if you can do it!) it is definitely worth telling...

So, don't be shy & please let me know your thoughts. I really value your opinion!

Still No Baby.

Still no baby over here. Booo. 

Thank goodness for pinterest cuteness (see above), 
Wii Tetris & Golden Girls re-runs to distract me! 

Thank you to everyone for your sweet thoughts, prayers 

& clever ideas on how to get things started. 

Hopefully she will make her appearance soon. 

On a positive there is at least an end in sight since my midwives 

will not let me go past March 13th (42 weeks) should I have to be induced. 

So one way or another Baby Fry will be here by March 13th- yippeeeee!

Bare Belly Photographs.

Ok so I slept on it for a few nights. 

Well actually I thought about it a lot as I starred at the ceiling 

attempting to fall back to sleep after my nightly trips to the bathroom. 

Anyway, I realized a few things...

 (1) I'll only ever be pregnant for the first time, once.  

(2) The photographs Isabel took are really beautiful & I was very lucky to have them taken.  

(3) I'm very blessed to have had such a wonderful & pretty darn easy pregnancy.

 (4) Because of all of the above, I should really get over my bare belly nerves & just embrace it.

So here we go...

Yes, Isabel painted a cupcake on my belly... 

It is kind of a new take on the

 "bun in the oven" idea, no?

Baby Bump Bliss.

When our wedding photographer, Isabel 

(who happily has become one of my good friends) 

suggested coming over to catch up & snap a few

 photographs of the Baby Fry bump of course I said, "Yes!"

She dropped by last week & snapped up a few 

photographs as we spent the afternoon together... 

I just love how relaxed & blissful they turned out. 

Even Piper Dog got in on the action as you can see.

Isabel took some others too & perhaps if I suddenly become brave 

enough I will share some of the bare belly photographs that she snapped. 

I must say, they really did turn out quite beautiful & I love them 

& I'm super grateful she convinced me to pose for them even though I swore 

posing for bare belly photographs let alone publicly posting photographs 

of my bare belly was something I'd never do... 

Oh & some of the others even include a cupcake painted on my belly 

so I guess technically that would mean my belly wasn't really bare?! 

 Hmmm. We shall see...

 I think I need to sleep on it.

Baby Shower (Details) Photographs.

So The Baby Shower was a few weeks ago but I'd be remiss if I did not 

share with you the wonderful details that everyone worked so hard on... 

I was absolutely SMITTEN with the floral arrangements! 

Can you believe that my momma handmade every single one? 

The best part? The containers are vintage & are actually from when myself & my 

younger brother were born. My momma kept them all these years- SO awesome!

Even better the roses dried out perfectly & some of the flowers are still alive & making me smile daily.

The Sister-in-Law made these amazing baby cupcakes which ended up being the dessert for 

the shower & decoration too since she came up with a wonderful display for them... 

She is truly talented, no!? I keep telling her she needs to go into business or something. 

She made all the batter & icing from scratch too so they were truly scrumptious! 

Speaking of scrumptious... the food was to die for. 

The shower ended up being at this quaint lil' restaurant that I had 

never been to, The Parkside American Grille & let me tell you, the food was fabulous! 

Plus my momma made the cutest lil' menus 

so every guest got to choose their main entree...

(I had the Parkside Eggs Benedict- YUM!)

As for the favors, my momma made up these cute lil' bags full of goodies

 & I requested that we do "Wishes For Baby" cards for us to keep. 

(An idea which I spotted & borrowed from The Lil' Bee.)

Some of my favorite answers include:

"I hope you learn to be a loving & wise girl."

"I hope you love the simple things in life."

"I hope you laugh big belly laughs & enjoy life to the fullest!"

"I hope you recognize that God is in control & He is good."

I can't wait to share all the wishes with her someday...

It was such a lovely shower, we are SO blessed!

33 (& 1/2) Weeks.

Today there is lots of snow outside which makes for super white wash natural light inside.

 At first I was annoyed that I couldn't get a good 33 week photograph 

of The Baby Fry bump but then I decided to try to work with it...

It is so crazy that she will be here in just seven weeks (give or take)...

 Wow. We are down to a single digit weekly countdown!

Snow Baby Bump.

Chances are unless you live under a rock, you've heard we 

got a lot of snow here in the northeast yesterday & today.

So here is my baby bump in the snow- out of focus & in focus...

I guess we can technically count this as Baby Fry's first blizzard?

I just hope & pray there is no funny business with weather conditions like this when 

Baby Fry decides to make her entrance in to the world in roughly 60 days...

Perhaps I do really need to convince The Husband to buy a 

sled just incase he'd have to drag me to the hospital on it?

28 (& 1/2) Weeks.

Well here I am, 28 (&1/2) weeks & officially in the third trimester now...

{ Clearly I love my new red hat... Thanks Laura!} 

I felt absolutely fabulous for the whole second trimester 

but now entering the third I'm definitely starting to feel pregnant.

Let's just say bending over has become quite a chore as has keeping my balance 

& getting comfortable in bed at night. But I know it will all be worth it when we meet our lil' girl... 

T- minus 12 weeks! Eeek!

... my, oh my how far we've come or I should say, grown!

24 Weeks.

I've gotten a few requests for more baby bump photographs 

& since I am to please (well most of the time) here you go... 

Please ignore the fact that I look really tired, I dunno what that is about!? 

Maybe the fact that I get up every night, multiple times to go potty? (lol)

16 weeks to go, we are SO excited to meet our lil' baby girl!

Ultrasound Debut.

The results are in, Baby Fry is...  a girl! 

 Tee hee hee, say hello...

Our Lil' Fry was very wiggly, squiggly & just plain squirmy wormy on the day of her big ultrasound reveal. 

She was also very stubborn- just like her Mama & Papa. It took three attempts to even try to determine the gender.

 Not only was she breech with her bum down at time of ultrasound (she essentially mooned us- lol) 

But she had her legs tightly crossed with her feet tucked up under her bum & her arms down at her sides. 

We got her to reposition a bit which is the only reason we were able to get a lil' peak at her gender. 

The doctor said, "Well, I don't see any boy parts, but the legs are crossed... I'm 90% sure you've got a girl." 

Hehehe

We are so excited!

20 more weeks until she makes her big debut!

19 Weeks.

Well here we are - 19 weeks & counting! 

We find out this upcoming Thursday 

if Baby Fry is a BOY or a GIRL...

(or hey maybe even TWINS? Although I highly doubt that possibility)
