Yay August! (Goodbye July!)

July was a REALLY rough month for me. Lots of bad & very little good. 

Thankfully it is over now & I am certainly hoping that August will prove to be much, much better.

Thank God for my sunshine, Gracelyn she makes me smile, every. single. day. 

My very bad month had its last straw the other night when I locked my keys in the trunk of my car while running errands. Gracie & I waited for Daddy to come to the rescue in a little alcove in the shopping center & Gracie as always made me smile as I snapped photos with my iPhone. 

In fact, I actually laughed out loud at one point as her facial expressions were basically matching the situation we found ourselves in perfectly.

This is her "What? You locked the keys in the car!?" face...

Followed by her "We have to wait how long for Daddy to rescue us?!" face...

And then her "I have accepted our situation & thank God you brought milk & snacks." face...

Finally her "Don't worry Mama, it will be ok & I will be sure to make you SMILE." face...

Gah! I just LOVE that little munchkin of mine!

Happy.

There is little more in this world that makes me happier than when this girl of ours smiles & giggles. Gosh I just LOVE her! Did I mention she turned ONE this past Tuesday?! I can hardly believe it. 

Time truly does fly... I really have to start writing more down. 

Don't get me wrong, I've documented things well with photographs but I think they probably need sort some musings to go with them.

My Snow Bunny.

Oh hey it snowed...

Just had to share the adorableness that is my daughter. In a snow suit. That has ears on the hood. Complete with chubby cheeks. Gah! Seriously she is almost a year old?! That is bananas.

Anywho - I'm gearing up to get back into this blogging thing, I swear. I have been pretty quiet as of late & well that is just silly considering my head & heart are just full of things to be shared. 

I've found some inspiration (from some of my favorite ladies & bloggy friends) here, here, & here. Just call me a happy casualty of ALT Summit (& I didn't even go!)

Jealousy.

I had an iPhone once. When they first came out way back when. I hated it. 

Which was surprising to me at the time, especially because I am totally an Apple girl. 

I think it was the touch screen that freaked me out. 

Anyway, for years now I've wanted nothing to do with an iPhone. 

Until some of my twitter friends & real friends started using 

Instagram & Hipstamatic apps & posting their photos.

To say my jealousy was growing daily would be an understatement 

& then my friend, Isabel snapped a few shots of me & Baby Girl with her iPhone & well... 

Whoa. Now, I definitely want, nay... I NEED an iPhone!

 However, the sad thing is if I did get one, I'd probably only use it for 
photo apps & constantly complain about the touch screen & let's face it, that'd be 
annoying to everyone around me. Plus I'd have to pay an additional monthly fee 
for "data" on our phone plan which would just bug me for so many reasons I won't
 go into right now & I'd probably constantly complain about that as well. LOL.


So long story short, I won't be getting one anytime soon until I can get over that stuff. 
But hey a girl can dream & a girl can be jealous & a girl can also deck our her 
would be iPhone with a cool cover like this one...

Chubby Cheeks & Rainbow Socks.

Baby Girl is 2 months old today. Wow. Time flies...

I must say, it is the little things that make me ridiculously happy when 

it comes to her & I definitely fall in love with her more & more everyday.

Oh those chubby cheeks & bubble she blows in her sleep get me every time!
