Shoveling Out.

Fun Blizzard of 2010 fact...
This is the most *snow* the Philadelphia area has EVER received since they started keeping records in 1884.
OH MY GOODNESS!

& now for the last of my photos from yesterday- the shoveling out process!
We started before the storm officially ended because we wanted to make a decent dent
& hopefully gain some help from Mr. Plow...
We were the only ones out in the neighborhood but it was worth it
because we did get help from Mr. Plow (thanks again!) & we didn't have to shovel at all today!

Just one question for you... is she a Dog or a Meerkat?
... this is 2 minutes after it was shoveled clean - it was really falling fast!

The Husband... now know as "The Shoveling Machine".  I love him!
Shake. Shake. Shake.  This just makes me laugh out loud.
& here is a shot of the 20+ foot snowman at the entrance to our development...
(I'll try to get some better shots today in the daylight)
The Husband wanted me to post about our shoveled out spots...  3 hours later this is what they looked like.
Aren't they spectacular?!  He was so proud - tee hee hee
Resting in our *snow* fort of sorts... this is right outside our front door.
We've been joking that we now have a fenced yard because we piled the snow so high
& dug out a space for Piper Dog to potty that there is now
a retaining wall of sorts all around our entrance.

Honestly I have never seen so much snow in my life.
In 1996 we were out of school for a week due to a storm
& I don't even think there was as much then as there is now- whew!

Blizzard 2010. (more photos)

Here we go again- more *snow* photos.
Maybe I got a bit carried away & took too many photos
but the trees just look so pretty covered with *snow*, the natural lighting is awesome
& snowflakes & water droplets all over everything just looks plain cool...

Yes, we threw Sophie Cat out in the *snow*.
No worries she was not hurt or cold, it was just outside our front door
& the whole episode lasted no more then 2 minutes...
We just really wanted to see what she would do.
She did not like it one bit!

Blizzard of 2010.

Hello, hello!
Holy moly we got TONS of *snow*
Last I heard between the remnants of
our weekend storm + this one we have roughly
45 inches of  *snow* piled up outside!
& that does NOT include drifts, shoveled piles or plowed piles.
If you want a really good idea of how much is out there, let's just say that there is
a 20+ foot snowman built at the entrance to our development.
I kid you not! I have to try & get some photos today to show you.

Anywho, considering it took us 3 hours to shovel our cars out
(& that was with the help of the plow, thank you Mr. Plow) ...
& this much *snow*...
You better believe that I have just as many photos as
there are inches of *snow* outside documenting the day.
( & lets face it, probably MORE)
Here is a sampling to start you off for now...

I'll post more later- right now I have to try and catch some Zzzzs.
You see, The Husband (poor guy) had to drive into work in all this
& I've been nervously waiting his call confirming safe passage.
But now with the phone call received
& The Husband at work safe, I can grab a bit of beauty sleep.
tee hee hee

Happy *snow* day!

Hello lovely readers!
Is it *snowing* there where you are?
Because it is an absolute blizzard here!
It started last night & isn't supposed to stop until the early am hours tomorrow... whew!
The Husband & I are snowed in so breakfast for lunch (& probably dinner),
movies, wii games & playing in the snow will be our activities today.
Just wanted to stop in & let you know I will be a bit absent today from blogging...
I took this photo yesterday before the *snow* started.
Trust me it looks very different out our windows now!

Enjoy your day & photos of our *snow* day will follow soon!

xoxo
