Stair Stripes.

I really like the contrasting stripe that runs along the wall & the runner.
It just draws your eye right up the stairs...

That is all.

The Poppy Project.

Perhaps you've noticed the Poppy patterns popping up on
the blog right over there on the right side bar...

That is because Oh What Fun is taking part in Coach's Poppy Project.

"Grow, Poppy! Grow! #CoachPoppy #ohwhatfun http://coach.com/poppyproject"
You can check out some examples on my twitter
& you can RT to make it even easier if you'd like.

There are also special color codes & words that could give you
even more chances to win so get creative!
#pink #purple #yellow etc...

You can also click on the "Like" button for Facebook to grow more poppies!

Oh & certainly don't forget to look for Poppy surprises in the pattern as you follow the trail.
If you spot a Coach Poppy bag, it’s your lucky day! Just click on the bag for a special gift.

Good luck!

DIY - iPhone Dock.

I don't even have an iPhone or an iTouch. Nope all I have is a MacBookPro.
(plus the "bubble" desktop mac & a destroyed MacBook & 2 old school iPods, it's like a Mac cemetery over here.)

But aside from the iPhone craze I have always had a special spot in my heart for Apple products.
(it is after all, the only type of computer I've ever had... which means since the early 90's)

So, anyway I thought this DIY  created by Dessine Moi Un Objet
for a iPhone or iTouch dock  crafted out of paper was just too good not to pass on...
{ Originally spotted on The Best of Pinterest }

Pretty nifty eh? Imagine if you made it out of some patterned paper or what have you.
You'd have a pretty sweet lil' dock for yourself!

Head on over to Dessine Moi Un Objet for the full tutorial which includes a video if you get confused.
(The tutorial includes a printable template & yes the tutorial is in English in case you were worried.)

Decorative Fireplaces.

Like many people who live in charming vintage homes or apartments we have a non-working fireplace
(Actually I was told could make it work but it'd be a huge fire hazard & we don't want to deal with that.)

So now we have a dilemma-
What to do with the interior of said fireplace.
Here are some ideas I dug up...

{ 1 } { 2 } { 3 } { 4 }

Candles. Mirrors. Books. Wood. Oh my!
Lots of options but I'm not so sure any of them knock my socks off.
The Husband suggested plants, I suggested a nifty hanging lamp of sorts, maybe like this one.
I also saw this idea once where there was just a basket of Christmas lights in the firebox. That was kinda cool...
I guess we could always just put a chair in front of it. Though that seems kinda like a cop out.

What do you think?

Piper Dog?

I heart this comic by Everydaycute. It totally reminds me of Piper Dog...
Not only is this something that would happen with her but the dog character "Carmen"
kinda looks like her too. Maybe she gets out more than I know & models for comics?

Ok, probably not.
But at least now I know we aren't the only
ones with an incredibly silly dog.

Nature Blocks.

I love blocks. In fact, I  still remember the set my brother & I had as kiddos...
I think they are just plain great & really help to spur on creativity & imagination.
Our babe will definitely be getting a set of their very own,
how bout these Nature Blocks by Lakeshore Learning
Kinda cool, eh? I'm loving the natural feel.

How Was Your Weekend?

So how was your weekend my dears?
Mine was fabulous. I sorta fell off the face of the internet which was nice...
{ Via  LeLove

The Husband came home on Friday after being away for two weeks
for Army related stuff so we just basked in the glow of eachother all weekend.
Laughing. Cuddling. Talking. Kissing & just being silly...

I love weekends like that!

Fun For Breakfast.

If you've been reading the blog for a while chances are you've
caught on to the fact that little things make me extremely happy...
So of course when I spotted these heart & daisy shaped egg frying rings
from Williams & Sonoma,  I thought they were pretty darn awesome.

They'd make breakfast super fun, no?!
Plus they look like they'd certainly help you
make a nearly perfect sunny side up egg!

Exciting News!

Yup! Tis' true! The Husband & I are expecting our first child!

We are oh so exited to meet our lil' bundle of joy sometime around the end of February.
But since February is such a short month it could be March... who knows!?
Shall we start the Baby Fry arrival bets now?

Big thanks to artist Michael Jonathan for creating our announcement.
Check out his website & his etsy shop for more of his work.
Personally I really dig his piece "Fantastic Mr. Fox"

Eeeeeek!!!
As you can tell I am very excited!
