Christmas lights. I love them- lots!

Ours aren't up just yet but trust me, they are on the "To Do" list for this week.

When I spotted this photograph this weekend, I just got that 

great, magical feeling that Christmas lights bring & I knew I had to share...

Plus the photograph reminded me of our trip to Disney World last year where we got to experience 

The Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios.

What? You've never heard of it? Well, me either until I got there last year. 

But let me just say- My, oh my it was fantastical! (yes I know that isn't a word, it was THAT good!)

But thankfully I still have some of the photographs I snapped last year...

Oh yes, there was snow falling too- you can see some on the ground.

Mustache Eggs.

 The Sister-In-Law & I dyed easter eggs yesterday

Her eggs turned out very vibrant & colorful. 

As for mine? Well mine ended up with mustaches...

Let's just say that by the end of the afternoon 

I was talking in a french accent & naming my eggs...

Francois, Bernard, Pierre & Frank (he's the one with the handlebar stache)

Don't you think that they are almost too quirky & cute to crack & eat!?

In fact, I  think I may sneak them into a full dozen of regular eggs

 for a silly surprise to whomever picks them up & tries to cook with them.

(ahaha - I'm so sneaky... & laughing already!)

Easter Egg Love.

As promised here are the results of our egg dying 
a-la Martha Stewart's tips & tricks...

We used PAAS egg dye in classic colors (that means adding 3 tablespoons of vinegar)

black electrical tape, scissors, thin tip sharpie markers & lots of patience to create our eggs.

The Sister-In-Law's eggs turned out the best & were also the most colorful...

As for me, I became oddly obsessed with mustaches 

(I thought the black electrical tape scraps looked like lil' mustaches)

 So I ended up doing eggs with various types of mustaches & colored striped t-shirts...

 I also found myself talking in a french accent & being called a "weirdo" multiple times by The SIL ... hmmm?

All in all we had a stellar afternoon decorating eggs on the patio. 
I highly recommend it if you get the chance & Martha's tips worked like a charm!
