Oops.

You know, sometimes accidentally taking a photograph when you 

are trying to do something else with the camera can be fruitful. 

Case in point - Piper Dog in full play mode with tuggy...

The Husband & I both laughed pretty hard when we 

uploaded our photographs & found this the other day.

Piggy Bank.

I really think this piggy bank would be just perfect in Baby Fry's nursery.

It reminds me very much of a glass piggy bank I had as a kiddo. 

Except mine was a glass Snoopy... Oh well, close enough & more chic, right?

Theater Clouds.

I just discovered this wonderful print shop Theater Clouds...

Artist Elly MacKay makes the prints by inking yupo paper 

& cutting it into layers that are set up in a miniature theater. 

She then plays with the lights & filters to create 

atmosphere & then photographs the scenes. 

How awesome! 

Plus the results are pretty magical, no? 

I especially love this print... in fact, I may just have to buy it 

or add it to my Christmas list at the very least.

Merry & Bright.

Christmas lights. I love them- lots!

Ours aren't up just yet but trust me, they are on the "To Do" list for this week.

When I spotted this photograph this weekend, I just got that 

great, magical feeling that Christmas lights bring & I knew I had to share...

Plus the photograph reminded me of our trip to Disney World last year where we got to experience 

The Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios.

What? You've never heard of it? Well, me either until I got there last year. 

But let me just say- My, oh my it was fantastical! (yes I know that isn't a word, it was THAT good!)

What are you thankful for this year?

As for me, I am THANKFUL for...

1. The Husband actually being home vs deployed in a combat zone, foreign country or anywhere other than with me.

2. The lil' bumps & kicks Baby Fry throws my way every day & the easy pregnancy I've been blessed with so far.

3. Our crazy Piper Dog who literally makes us laugh everyday. I'm so glad she found her way into our life this time last year. 

4. The magical feeling rekindled inside me every time I feel & smell fall & impending winter. 

5. Family, friends & sweet strangers who remind me that there are still good, kind people out there.

 I really am truly blessed with SO much & it is so crazy wonderful. God is so good!

 Happy Thanksgiving!

Target 2 Day Sale.

The Target 2 Day Sale commercials make me chuckle every time I see them... 

I especially love the first one where she runs down the towel

What do you have planned for this weekend?

The Husband & I have an Army function to attend tonight.

 He has to wear his dress blues which he always looks ridiculously handsome in

 & I have to wear a formal dress...  I'm going to attempt to do my hair like this.  (I hope it works out!)

It should be a good night out, sometimes it is fun to get all dressed up & fancy, no?

Other than that relaxing, breakfast out tomorrow at one of my fave spots with the family

& raking up the leaves in the yard will be on the "to do" list for the weekend.

DIY - Acorn Topped Ornaments.

I know it isn't even Thanksgiving yet but you can bet the day 

after Thanksgiving I am decorating our home for Christmas!

 So I figure it is never too early to start making your own Christmas ornaments right? 

That is where these lil' guys come in...

Are they not cute, cute, CUTE!? Posted last winter by the super fabulous Ez of Creature Comforts 

as part of her 18 Days DIY series, I figured I'd share them with you again just in case you missed them last year. 

I think they'd be cute as ornaments, package toppers, part of a wreath, garland or bunting 

or hey they'd be sweet added to place cards too! (you could make each one look like the person sitting at the seat!)
